| Mad Bull KX3 muzzle report flash hiders |
04/07/07 |
Madbull are still developing their flash hiders that are designed to give a louder shot report to your bb gun. As far as I know this is an airsoft first as most companies focus on silencing the shot! These flash hiders are being released in a variety of colours and are anodized not painted. They also have customisable muzzle reports by adjusting the internals of the part. See the below image for instructions on how to adjust the muzzle report. Yay! for airsoft guns not sounding like sewing machines! |

| Mad Bull Chronograph |
02/07/07 |
As I have a bit of a fetish for devices that measure things... ooo err, I'm looking forward to the release of Mad Bull's attempt at a chronograph. It's quite a cheap offering, sub $100, and is in the same market range as the Guarder 2000 chronograph. It has one very handy feature for a chrono in this price range and that is the ability to measure balls-per-second or rate of fire. Mad Bull claim it'll be finished in a months time. A few of the features listed -
- Pocket size. Portable chronograph.
- Using the latest patented technology: Muti-angle measurement. Better than anyone else in the market.
- Multi-function: MPS (meter per second) FPS (feet per second) BPS (balls per second) Joules (0.2g/0.23g/0.25g/0.30g….)
- 9 Volt battery. Auto turn-off in 2 mins.
- Tri-pod adapter.
The images below are not using the final colours.

| Latest SPR review updates |
14/06/07 |
I've moved the reports on my SPR mk12 mod 0 from my airsoft forums to my SPR review. Progress has been slow and the latest situation is I'm still waiting for a new gear set to handle my 500FPS+ M170 set up. We'll have to see whether the Prowin gear box can take the strain, we've definitely proved that the standard piston that comes with it will not survive an M170 spring. To be honest it's pretty extreme power for an electric airsoft gun to be taking so I'm not expecting wonders. I still ened to get hold of a Systema Super Torque up gear after I "modded" the previous set with a screwdriver and 10.8V... |

| Classic army CA53 and SA58 Carbine |
06/06/07 |
Classic army have released posters of two of their pipeline guns the CA53 and SA58 Carbine. Classic Army haven't announced a release date for either of the guns yet. The highlights of the SA58 seem to be the 500 round magazine and a 7mm metal bushing gear box which should mean it'll be well suited to spring upgrades.

The CA53 is obviously a similiar weapon to the Tokyo Marui MC51 but is skewed more towards the real life Heckler and Koch HK53.
In real life it's supposed to be a sort of beefed up sub machine gun for use against armoured targets in CQB environments. The airsoft version comes with a full metal body and metal hop up chamber.

| Fresh products from Modify |
31/05/07 |
Modify have followed up their previous custom gearbox releases with some more funky products. First offf is a steel Spring guide with thrust bearing. It looks pretty turdy and should be good for those high power airsoft conversions.

The other product are some stainless steel bearigns which again look to be aimed at the high end AEG with big spring. They have a double oil tank run in them which should aid lubrication and lessen the rolling resistence.

| Tokyo Marui USP Airsoft Electric Pistol |
14/03/07 |
Tokyo Marui are soon to release their latest AEP, the USP 45. Noteable features are an improved chamber which should give 50m range and a battery capacity of 500 mAh. For comparison the battery capacity of the G18C and Beretta M93R was 200 mAh. The battery will not be compatible with the MP7 despite being the same capacity and voltage, 500mAh 7.2V.
Marui intend to release a range of accessories to support the USP ranging from a 100 round magazine, a threaded adaptor to fit silencers/tracer and a lower rail to mount lights etc. After the impressive performance of the MP7 this pistol has a lot of promise.
Release date is 22nd March.

| VFC HK 416 |
02/02/07 |
I handled the new VFC HK 416 rifle at Marui Airsoft last night. wow is that one solid feeling gun! The selector switch feels positive and firm. The bolt release latch actually releases the bolt, that can be opened with the charging handle to adjust hop. The HK 416 comes with 2 different outer and inner barrels so you can swap between a more "commando" style set up to a rifle style set up. Possibly the most important thing of all is that there is NO barrel wobble! It's the sturdiest feeling M4/armalite variant I've handled.
The only thing that bugs me about it is the crummy AN / PEQ2 case that you need to store the battery in. There is no room in the foregrip and the stock has no room either. Personally I'm not a fan of AN / PEQ style boxes stuck on the side of an otherwise sexy rifle. |

| Latest products from Modify |
15/12/06 |
Jane from Modify, www.modify.com.tw, has contacted me to say that they've released there new steel bushings and bush keys.
"Tempered Stainless Bushings (6mm, 6.1mm, 7mm)
Bush Keys
Modify Tempered Stainless Bushing is the definitive parts of MODIFY Stainless Bush. It's a tight fit and it has a convex surface to reduce the contact area with the gear set thereby resulting in low traction, to be much more effective and durable. It matches the best to all operational conditions, including the use with High-Speed Gear Set and with Ultra Torque-Up Gear Set.
Do you usually use a plastic handle of a screw driver to hammer the bushings in?? With Modify Bush Keys, you can force the bushings into place EVENLY very easy!"

| Prowin gearbox tuning and review |
25/10/06 |
I'm half way through writing a review of the Prowin split gearbox for the M4/M16. I'm also tuning it up with an M170 spring. As soon as I've recieved some fresh 7mm bearings so I can complete the gearbox I'll finish the review. I'll also write a version 2 of my SPR review once its been upgraded with the Prowin box.
